The Plan of Salvation
if you are struggling for direction in life, perhaps you would allow us to help restore your life to its intended heading. You see, man without a personal relationship with his Creator, is floundering in a troubled sea- WITH NO SAFE PORT OF refuge in sight. May we show you the way to Jesus Christ?
Step One, involved a realization that you are a sinner. That’s a word we don’t hear a lot in our society. People may be called thieves and murders, but never sinners. The word it self implies they have violated a law greater than man’s law… the law of God. We are sinners by birth, as children of a fallen race. Honest people also have to admit we are also sinners by choice. There are times when we have all simply chosen to do wrong.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” ( Romans 3:23)
Step Two, expresses a belief that there is a penalty for sin. Although our God is a God of great mercy, He is also a God of justice. A debt must be paid… justice demands it. Thus, man is condemned to die.
“For the wages of sin is death” ( Romans 6:23)
We usually associate death as a physical event, however death is also a spiritual event. Simply stated, physical death is a separation of the spirit from the body, whereas spiritual death is a separation of the spirit from God. After death man must face a judgment from his sin.
“…it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
Step Three, acknowledge that Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary for our sin, He rose from the grave on the third day, and now lives freely offer you the gift of eternal life.
“… He hath made Him ( Jesus, Who knew no sin) to be sin for us… that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” ( 2 Corinthians 5:21)
“…God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8)
“… The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ( Romans 5:23)
FINALLY, Step Four, you must personally accept this gift. God has created us as free moral agents. He will not make you one of his children without your consent. You have the liberty to reject Christ and pay the debt for your own sins. Tragically, millions will choose to do so.
How Do We Accept This Gift? This is the same question the Philippian jailer once asked Paul and Silas:
“… Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” ( Acts 16:30-31)
The answer was simple, just believe on Christ as the one who bore your sin died in your place, was buried, and whom God reusrrected.
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power toe become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” ( John 1:12)
WOULDN’T YOU LIKE TO RECEIVE CHRIST NOW? Perhaps this simple prayer will help you convey your thoughts to God.
“Oh God, I know I am a sinner and I owe a debt to the God of Heaven which I cannot pay. I know I cannot save myself, but now Lord I ask for your mercy and forgiveness. I believe Jesus died on the cross as my substitute to pay for my sin. I believe His Shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection on the third day were for me. I now receive Him as my savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of YOUR merciful grace. Father, now I present my life to you and ask that You help me to live a life that would bring glory to my Lord. Amen.”
“For whoseover shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. “ ( Romans 10:13)
