“Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, just east of Angier, will host two dynamic evenings of worship on Friday, January 19 & Sunday, January 21, as popular singer/speaker Sarah DeLane will be featured.  Friday evening’s ladies event begins at 6:30pm and will feature dinner, followed by a time of musical worship and teaching by Sarah Delane. On Sunday evening at 6:00pm, Sarah will also be featured in a special musical service. During this special evening Sarah will share stories from her travels abroad, as well as uplifting music that has made her one of Christian music’s most dynamic vocalists.  For over half her life, Sarah has traveled the globe with one main goal, drawing others closer to God. A gifted and anointed singer, Sarah has shared concert stages world-wide with legendary musicians like Nancy Harmon and Bill Gaither, yet her mission and ministry encompasses more than just music. At the age of seven, she and her family traveled overseas with Chinese evangelist, Dr Nora Lam and during that time Sarah developed a deep love for China and its people. Over the years that love has continued to grow and she has made literally dozens of trips to closed nations sharing the Gospel. The Portland, OR, native now makes her home in Nashville with her husband, Kelly Back, one of Nashville’s most sought-after studio musicians, appearing weekly on Huckabee, the popular talk show hosted by former Arkansas Governor and conservative commentator, Mike Huckabee, as a member of the Huckabee band. Together, Sarah and Kelly are dedicated to continuing to share the message of the Gospel wherever doors open. After four decades of ministry, Sarah’s mission continues to remain as strong as ever as she strives to use her talents and gifts to draw others closer to God.
